Government Recognition (Charter)

Caribbean Medical University obtained an official recognition from Government of Netherlands Antilles on November 9th, 2007. The recognition makes our graduates eligible to become licensed and our school being listed in the IMED directory.

School administration, faculty members and students wish to express sincere appreciation to all central and local Government Officials, especially to Mrs. Emily de Jongh-Elhage (Prime Minister of Netherlands Antilles), to Mrs. Omayra Victoria Elisabeth Leeflang (Minister of Education and Health), to Mrs. Lisa Richards-Dindial (Lieutenant Governor of Curacao) for endless support we received on the way to establish our medical school.

CMU will continue its growth to deliver exceptional education services and to improve academic quality for the benefit of our students. Our next goal is to obtain accreditation of NVAO (Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders) and ACCM (Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine).

With major advantages of our medical school like MedLoan Financial Aid Program, U.S. quality Campus, Student Dorms, qualified and supportive teachers, visiting professors from U.S., we wish our current students as well prospective students will find CMU a great place to study medicine and to achieve a dream of becoming a well educated MD degree holder.
