Dr. Jerry Smucker, MD.

Dr. Jerry Smucker is originally from Northwest Central Ohio. He attended Goshen College in Indiana and the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Smucker became board certified in Internal Medicine after completing residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Smucker has practiced Internal Medicine in Central Ohio for over 20 years. He has worked in medical education, being affiliated with Grant Medical Center (where he was voted a teacher of the year) and the Ohio State University. He worked for five years in pharmaceutical research before joining his current practice.
Dr. Smucker has been involved in many aspects of medical administration, serving as the administrative partner for his medical group, as the Chairman of various hospital committees. These have included Peer Review, Quality Improvement, Medical Records, Continuing Medical Education, and others. He has also served as a Chair of the Department of Medicine for two hospitals in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Dr. Smucker now practices perioperative medicine, exclusively. Most of his practice involves the medical care of patients having orthopedic surgery. He also serves as the Executive Pastor of The Church Triumphant of Columbus.
