Dr. Mahendra P. Patel, MD.
Dr. Patel has been conferred a B.Sc. degree from a reputable university in India with a major in Zoology and a minor in Botany and Chemistry. His graduate studies were completed at the M.S. University in Baroda, India where he had been conferred a Master's degree in Human Anatomy.
He also has an M.D degree from Spartan Health Sciences University, St. Lucia, West Indies and has passed both parts of the USMLE.
For over 15 years, he has been teaching Anatomy at reputable colleges and universities in India, the West Indies as well as in the USA, including Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland and City College of San Francisco. He has also taught classes in General Biology, Human Biology, Embryology, Genetics, Histology, Medical Terminology and Nutrition.
His teaching technique integrates the basic sciences with the clinical subjects and includes traditional lecture-based approaches as well as technology-enhanced techniques. In this way, the individual needs of the students are met along with the goals or the course or curriculum. Furthermore, as the students and faculty in the West Indies, Cleveland (Ohio), and San Francisco (California) have been of different races and numerous cultures, He has become experienced in working with a diverse population of students and has found that the skills to do so are essential in promoting good student learning and achievement.
