Dr. Mervyn Devonish, MD.

Dr. Devonish earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Spartan Health Sciences School of Medicine in 1988. He also studied medicine at University of Sri Lanka. His prior education includes a Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University.
Dr. Devonish was an associate professor at Spartan Health Science University School of Medicine for over 15 years teaching basic and pre-clinical science courses. He served as a chairman of the Microbiology Department and as a Community Affairs Directory at the university.
He worked as a physician's assistant in the United States Federal Prison system in Pennsylvania prior to joining Spartan University as a full-time faculty member.
Dr. Devonish's professional certifications include Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS), Advance Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) and Advance Trauma Life Support certification (ATLS).
He was an accomplished international lawn tennis and table tennis player and holds a Sport Management Certificate issued by the St. Lucia Olympic Association.
Dr. Devonish is currently an assistant professor of Microbiology and Immunology at our university.
